“We believe the Morse code in the scoreboard was put on in 1947 by Mr.  and Mrs. Yawkey as their own way of commemorating their days at Fenway.  On Sunday afternoons when the team was out of town, Tom and Jean would  come over to Fenway Park, get the radio, go out to center field, spread a  lunch and have a picnic and listen to the game. It’s just there  initials TAY and JRY..”
